Romney Lange, Creative Direct’s owner and Art Director, is an Integrated Marketing Specialist. With more than 15 years of freelance and on-site Art Direction experience on both coasts, she brings a wealth of expertise to her design work. She applies a creative, yet pragmatic, focus to each assignment, having distilled the best elements of design and art direction to most effectively communicate with her target audience. Her proficiency with all Adobe CS6 design programs, in-depth experience with online design and development, and extensive knowledge of traditional printing processes, allow her to expertly guide any project from concept to both online/digital solutions and final printed materials. Most recently she has designed highly successful Integrated Marketing campaigns for Autodesk, Microsoft, Sitecore, Russell Investments, ADT Security, and Barclays Global Investors.
Romney thrives in a fast paced deadline driven environment and possesses the versatility of either working solo, teamed up with a copywriter, or in a group environment. She approaches every project within the parameters of the brand, budget, and target audience, but also gladly pushes the envelope when appropriate.
Over the years, Romney has successfully lent her talents to clients as diverse as Levi Strauss, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Visa, Ogilvy & Mather Direct, Oracle, American Express, and the San Francisco Historical Society.
Romney received her BA in Art Education at the University of Oregon, Eugene and her Associate’s Degree in Printing Technology at San Francisco City College. She also attended the Parsons School of Design in New York, NY.
